About me

My path has never been linear — it has been about designing solutions with purpose. I move between journalism, linguistics, education, technology and political science, always looking for ways to turn complex systems into innovation.

Technology Journalism Communication Political Science Governance Linguistics EdTech Data & AI

I’m interested in how technologies, stories and institutions shape everyday life — and how thoughtful design can make those systems fairer, more transparent and more human.

I was born and raised in Caracas, in Caribbean heat, football on the TV and long family conversations that mixed news, humour and politics. That mix of affection, noise and curiosity taught me very early that information is vital — it always impacts in people’s lives.

Later moves — a year in Rio de Janeiro during my childhood and a summer in Oxford — showed me what it means to experience life through other lenses. They also made something clear: languages are not just skills, they are ways of giving people back their voice.

I started my career in Venezuela as a sports journalist and football commentator on radio and television. Journalism gave me discipline, narrative structure and, above all, the habit of listening — to the crowd, to the players, to the city.

At 23 I moved to Madeira. Migration slowed the tempo of my life and opened new questions: how institutions welcome newcomers, how bureaucracy feels from the inside, and how education can change the trajectory of a family. That is where my passion for helping others and for education as a tool for social mobility really took shape.

In Madeira I studied Linguistics, Societies and Cultures at the Universidade da Madeira, focusing on pragmatics, discourse and the relationship between language, cultures and research.

Out of this intersection came LínguaOnline, an EdTech project that offers Portuguese and Spanish courses for migrants and professionals. Building the startup introduced me to product design, sustainability and digital learning environments.

Curious about how technology could support better decisions in public and organisational life, I trained in .NET and transitioned into Data & AI.

Later I completed my studies in Political Science and International Relations at the Universidade da Madeira and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, connecting institutions, governance and technology.

Today I design semantic models, dashboards and analytical solutions that help organisations see what matters — and communicate it clearly.

Across all these stages, the centre of gravity has stayed the same: using communication, education and technology to build systems that respect people’s complexity and improve how we live together.
